The New Frontier of Talent Development: How Will You Chart
and Navigate Your Expedition?

PROGRAM

Each year many individuals and organizations reflect on their achievements of the previous year and set aspirational goals for the year ahead. Given the tumultuous state of affairs continuing to unfold on a global basis, the exercise of articulating “Where We Are Now and Where Do We Want to Go” seems anything but traditional.

Answering this question for 2020, and the foreseeable future, will require deeper and broader thinking, acute internal and external awareness, a calm and clear mind, compassion for self and others and an abundance of positive energy to keep going.

This presentation will focus on the fundamental mindset, personal characteristics and competencies it takes to venture into unchartered territories. Our discussion will primarily address the “Building Personal Capability” element of the ATD Talent Development Capability Model because, if we are to sustainably serve our clients, organizations and communities, we must put our own oxygen mask on first.

By attending this presentation, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Reframe what “Getting There from Here” means in our new global reality
  • Heighten attention and action on “Building Personal Capability”
  • Identify and explore the critical mindset, competencies and characteristics for “Building Personal Capability”
  • Identify and prioritize your best next steps for “Building Personal Capability” for yourself and your clients

In ATD's new Capability Model, this presentation will help you to build your personal capability,  especially in the areas of communication, collaboration, and leadership.
